DC Finance’s Annual Family Office & High Net Worth Individuals Conference

This week, the CS Global Partners team attended a live DC Finance’s Annual Family Office & High Net Worth Individuals Conference in London. Our firm showcased how many wealthy individuals around the region are securing their business, wealth and family futures in uncertain times through citizenship by investment opportunities.

Keynote speaker at the event was Mrs. Cherie Blair CBE QC, founder of The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and Leading Queen’s Counsel. Mrs. Blair shared her personal story, and how gender equality could unlock unimaginable gains, and discussed the power capital, maximising your ‘social ROI’, nurturing the private sector for sustainable development.

The event brought together over 100 of the region’s top family members seeking innovative ideas to exchange knowledge and experience with like-minded individuals.

“The conference offered a variety of interesting content for the family offices and investors and overall was a very successful event that allowed attendees to connect and be inspired”, said Annika Soderlund, Legal Officer at CS Global Partners.

The Ultra and High Net Worth Individuals, Family Office executives, and family decision-makers participated in a day of informative topics, including understanding the latest innovative technologies such as blockchain and cryptocurrencies. They also looked at diverse investment trends like asset allocation, alternative investments, real estate, impact investing, philanthropy, and more.

Second Citizenship the Alternative Investment Super Tool

Citizenship by investment (CBI) programmes offer investors the opportunity to legally acquire a new nationality in return for an investment in the host country’s economy. These programmes confer citizenship status without causing major disruptions to an investor’s life, provided they pass all the due diligence checks first and make a qualifying investment.

CBI offers greater security for individuals. The wide variety of benefits allow applicants and their families to take control of their futures by gaining further opportunities outside of their home countries. These opportunities include visa-free travel, political and economic stability, asset and wealth diversification, and improved lifestyle.

The Caribbean is known as the cradle of citizenship by investment programmes. The region holds one of the highest concentrations of them in the world.

St Kitts and Nevis’ Citizenship by Investment has been welcoming high net-worth individuals and their families to become citizens since 1984. It is one of the most trusted programmes and has been recognised as the ‘Platinum Standard’ brand.

St Kitts and Nevis also has a limited time offer in place under its Sustainable Growth Fund option. The temporary discount provides citizenship to a family of up to four for $150,000 rather than $195,000 and runs until 31st December 2021.

Established in 1993, Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment Programme is one of the world’s most efficient and transparent options. It has been ranked as the world’s best programme for second citizenship for the last five years in the CBI Indexan annual independent study published by the Financial Times’ PWM magazine.

Dominica’s programme offers applicants two investment opportunities: buying into Government approved real estate or a one-time contribution to the Economic Diversification Fund.
